Beautiful old house in the spectacular setting of Royal Deeside only a few miles from Ballater. We chose to stay in the old Kennels apartment a short walk up the hill from the main house. A compact but charming accommodation which has patio doors opening out into the walled garden complete with covered area with wood burning stove and table and chairs. We spent a magical evening watching the sun set behind the trees as we ate and drank local treats by the warmth of a log fire. The staff were friendly and helpful and the buffet breakfast was well presented and tasty.
