Those mountains across the road pack a punch. The hotel is charming and full of character; much better than modern chain-hotel "luxury" clones. Loved the climbing-rope bedheads.

The staff were amazing, so helpful and friendly, nothing was too much for them. We travelled with 3 celiac in our group, from the head chef, the wait staff and bar staff could not have been more accommodating and reassuring. The food was great and reasonable priced, welcoming and comfortable.
