We stayed at Bali Diamond Hotel for four nights with two other groups of friends, mainly choosing it for its adults-only policy. The location is great—right by the beach—but the main beach has a large inflatable kids’ assault course, which took away from the relaxed vibe. Thankfully, a quieter and nicer beach was just a short drive away. Our room was okay but came with a few frustrations. We had ongoing issues with the electricity tripping, and the air conditioning was poor—it claimed to go down to 18°C, but it never felt anywhere near that, unlike other hotels we stayed at. The bathroom extractor fan was completely blocked with dust, rendering it useless, and bed linen was only changed every three days, which wasn’t ideal. Breakfast was basic but fine if you’re not a big eater—I made do with a couple of espressos. The downstairs bar was pleasant enough, though on some nights there were kids running around, which was odd for an adults-only hotel—perhaps they were related to staff. Overall, the location was convenient, but the hotel itself could use some maintenance and a clearer focus on delivering a true adult-only experience.
