Tucked quietly beneath a newly built food spot in Badulla lies Crystal Resort, a hidden gem that completely exceeded my expectations. From the outside, it might seem like a simple place, but once you step inside, you realize how thoughtfully everything has been set up. The room came with two comfy beds, fresh towels, and to my surprise—a warm, cozy blanket, which is something you rarely see in Sri Lanka. The hot water worked perfectly, the AC was powerful, and the TV and Wi-Fi both functioned smoothly, making it a comfortable and relaxing stay from start to finish. What really stood out, though, was the hospitality. I genuinely felt appreciated for choosing to stay here. The owner went above and beyond—he even gifted my mom a keychain and magnet, a small gesture that meant a lot. He wasn’t just a host; he felt more like a travel advisor, always ready to help and offering great local tips. Plus, his English is excellent, which made communication easy and pleasant. Mornings started right with their short eats—simple, tasty, and reliable. And upstairs, you’ll find his parents, always smiling and welcoming, adding to the warmth of the place. For the price and value, you simply can’t go wrong. If you’re in Badulla and looking for a peaceful, well-maintained, and heartwarming place to stay—Crystal Resort is it.

We stayed at Crystal Resort, Badulla for one night and had a really pleasant experience. The service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We stayed in the family room, which had two double beds — it was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The bathroom was also large and spotless. The food was absolutely delicious and tasted just like a home-cooked meal, full of flavor and warmth. The resort is set in a quiet, calm area with a lovely view, perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature. It’s a great place for families or anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in Badulla. Overall, it’s definitely worth the price — great hospitality, tasty food, and beautiful surroundings. Highly recommended!

Our family of four stayed in a clean and comfortable room, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The real highlight was the hospitality. Viraj and his family went above and beyond to make our stay special – always friendly, always ready to help. They even prepared us a delicious, generous dinner outside of regular hours, which we truly appreciated. On our departure day, Viraj personally drove us to the railway station – such a thoughtful gesture! If you want clean, comfortable accommodation and warm Sri Lankan hospitality that makes you feel at home, this is the place. Highly recommended!
