The best place to stay while trekking on the Pekoe Trail. Basic, but very clean and comfortable. Beautiful view, delicious local food and adorable owners.

Most helpful host, Viraj and family. We arrived late and left early! Still, Viraj organised Dinner delivery for us, prepared breakfast on-site (bakery in the building!) and took us to the station in time! And for an absolute bargain. Room was in line with pictures, we stayed as family of 4 (11&15) and enjoyed the two Queen size beds, Pro-tip: If you want 1h alone in the train cabin (and door!), start your train trip in Badulla, not Ella...

Lovely new hotel, you can tell the owner and his family are very passionate about their business, they were very helpful and very kind. We needed transportation to and from Dunhinda waterfall which the Uncle very kindly provided with his tuktuk. The view of the mountains was amazing and the sunrise was beautiful. The breakfast food was delicious and freshly made with appam and tea/coffee. The bakery downstairs smells amazing in the morning. Location is also very good, it is easy to find and right on the main road.

Nice room with air conditioning. Nice cafe for breakfast (fresh fruit, baked goods, Sri Lankan Hoppers etc) The very friendly owner and family made the stay extremely chilled and they could not do enough for us. A short tuk tuk ride out of town

Crystal Resort was a fantastic stay after completing Stage 17 of the Pekoe Trail. Although it's about 4 km from the trail end, the owner went above and beyond to arrange transport to the hotel and even to the station the next day. The food was absolutely delicious, and the room was excellent for the price. Highly recommend for anyone doing the Pekoe Trail!

It was over a family bakery , he bought us dinner on out balcony . And could have had breakfast to but we made early start , the service was excellent . Would have taken us on a tour of city , but had him drop us off in the city , then later he meet us at station with our cases . Even put us on train . Excellent !,,,,,,,

I stayed here for a night and had a great experience! This hotel is run by a kind and helpful family. The room was clean, spacious, and furnished well. The food was also great. My hosts helped me arrange my bus tickets the following morning, which was very helpful! The location was farther away from Badulla city center, but reachable via tuk/car/bus.

Room was very clean, clam and Air-conditioned. It is equipped with all amenities including a spacious shower-room with hot-water as listed. Weather in the area is very pleasant and actually night stays does not require A/C. There was a small balcony for the room with a table and two chairs. The dinner we had there was enjoyable. The staff was very friendly, caring and helpful. They have a café and so fresh bakery items are available apart from the main meals they serve (they served us two freshly baked muffins when we leave as a gift. It was tasty). Highly recommended as a perfect place for a night stay. Located near the main road, so easily accessible.

We chose the place to take the train to Ella the next day. The host family is so loveable. Viraj provided us with food deliveries and recommended good restaurants. The room was clean with beautiful view into the forest. Finally, he drove us to the train station. Thanks!
