The place is near the boarder of desert. It was our first experience with desert and we appreciate that we did not have to drive long way. The owner was extremly kind, speaks Englisch. I think he would do everything possible on the earth to make our stay pleasant. As it is - the desert has no electricity. The owner supplies powerbank to re-charge the phones. There is very weak mobile signal - an adventage. You are not going to be stressed with the messages from the peopel.

The camp itself is comfortable and cosy. The home made dinner and breakfast were great. But what made this stay extra special was the host Salim, who was amazingly hospitable, engaging and keen to fulfil even the most surprising requests. That afternoon we ended up on top of a dune sandboarding after a crazy dune bashing ride. The next morning we went to see a camel race. I recommend taking the extra trips Salim is offering - they will make the memories for a lifetime.

Only 3 tents in the camping. Like a family. Saleem the owner is a really kind, respectful, helpful and well-mannered omani gentleman! He tells interesting stories and everything about the desert. The bed was perfect. The dinner and the breakfast was the best in Oman. We could not choose better, than this placd.
