Owner made us feel at home. We had our own bunk room without asking. Easy check in process. Allowed us to store luggage at the venue after check out.

Close proximity to Hallstatt and other attractions. 5 min walk from the train station where regular trains to Hallstatt. It was clean and comfortable. Some of the prior criticism of service is a bit unfair as staff was actually very friendly and helpful, although firm and direct but excellent customer service explained all the facilities, public transport and very knowledgeable. I think many people book a hostel and expects it to be like a hotel. For girls worried about privacy please note most German and Austrian hostels are mixed and there is a single private shower by the stairs too.

Friendly, clean and beautifully located hostel. Fabulous breakfast. Easy to get to Hallstatt on bus. Very helpful owner. Couldn't fault it at all.
