Location is near the bus station, owner was very friendly and gave good advice on how to go Hallstatt and Obertraun (Dachstein). Room is very clean, same goes to the toilets and kitchen.

It’s great that at a hostel like this, which is not even in a big city, had a quite decent billiard set. I believe it would be even livelier during the high season.

Great location and host was incredibly friendly; offered me plenty of information about the area and Hallstatt in particular. Great budget choice for a traveler looking to see the region without breaking the bank. Felt very safe as a woman traveling alone; only complaint was that my roommates were noisy and earplugs weren’t offered (but that’s a small quibble). Bathroom showers could have been slightly cleaner but beds very comfortable and the people were very friendly!
