It is a lovely rural area house, surrounded by welcome sounds of a variety of bird songs, church bells, and an occasional neighing or mooing from somewhere in the distance, and set in a spacious garden with all outdoor and indoor facilities one could want - swings for children and a covered sandpit, a stone barbecue, trees and a large grassy area, garden chairs and deckchairs a three or four people swing chair, and a flower patch for the bees... :-) Inside was no less lovely with many extra features such as handmade pottery bowls and decorative cloths and beautiful net curtains. The beds were very big and comfortable (although perhaps just slightly too firm for my husband), and the pillow and duvet were super light and lovely - probably down. There were exquisit chocolate balls in a glass bowl on the table at our arrival and a bottle of 'Sekt', all very welcoming and homely. There was the opportunity of lighting a real fire, which we did not get round to, and the shower worked a treat with two easy controls: one hot water and one cold water tap - super easy and efficient. There was a hairdryer and an iron and an ironing board, as well as a coffee machine. The kitchen also featured a mini dish washer, and was well stocked with utensils, pots and pans and cutlery and crockery, all of highest standard. Upstairs had a lovely covered balcony area. There was also a designated parking area for one car. Herr und Frau Happel were both there to welcome us and they were very lovely and friendly people, and happy to be contacted if we needed anything, which we did not. They live not too far away.

it's a new house-apartment on the ground floor (kitchen + living room + bathroom + a doublebed room) + 1st floor with another doublebed room with another small room for 1 person; this huge apt was quickly heated for our evening arrival, everything worked very well, we found landlord's house easily and we followed his car on the way 200 metres away uphill to the apartment, free parking for us in front of the apt house was provided; there is no street light and the check-in without the landlord's assistance would be a little dodgy in the dark...in the morning we left earlier (just dropping off the keys on the table and slamming the door) in a foggy weather, so we couldn't see much of the landscape around... yet, there is a little playground in the apt house garden behind so it would be assumably pleasant for children as well; last but not least the landlord was very nice with good English (even though I guess that great majority of guests in the German countyside are Germans only) and besides very low welcoming apartment price of 52 €/night we were also amazingly welcomed with a bottle of wine as well :)
