Villa Tamar was the perfect finale to our 6 week Europe holiday and without doubt our favourite stay. It feels like you are stepping into a much loved family beachfront retreat with beautiful interior, art, books and a super comfortable bed. We had such a warm welcome on arrival from Marina with a familiarization of the property along with tips for local restaurants, shops - all detailed in an info booklet. With Sintra only a short drive away it makes an ideal base for both coastal and inland exploring. When we come back to Portugal it’ll be the first place we book.

This was not just a rental property but a much loved home! Beautifully furnished with tasteful artwork. Lovely views and sounds of the crashing waves......and the bonus of a good sized swimming pool.

We travel a lot. We’ve been to all the countries in Europe, Mexico, Cuba, Kenya, Dominican Republic, Sri Lanka, Azores... We have lived in glamping, high end hotels and farmhouses. We were thrilled with the place! We even wanted to extend our lease. Lots of art blends with simplicity. Huge window overlooking the ocean. Beautiful pool. We walked to the beach with our dog in 10 minutes. You can bask by the fireplace, play the piano, look at the ocean endlessly… The gem of the house is the office with library! All of my coworkers were speechless when they saw me during a work meeting from there! Lol
