We loved everything about Ballium, from the beautifully renovated masseria with its super comfy beds, gorgeous bathrooms and lovely outdoor spaces to the warm courtesy and amazing hospitality of the hosts and all the staff. Lovely breakfast with lots of choice. On-site restaurant with delicious home cooked meals open on weekends when busy but also many great options in nearby Avola. So much great seafood everywhere! We had a room with a spa bath which was great. The property is perfectly located to explore the southeast of Sicily and its amazing baroque cities like Modica, Ragusa, and characteristic fishing towns like Marzamemi. Syracuse is a 30 min drive north. There is a beautiful little bay for swimming just a minute’s drive from Ballium. Crystal waters, shady parking (for a fee in summer, we were there in October and no fee), or you can take your pick of the gorgeous coves along the coastline. Particularly loved the nature reserve of Vendicari. We stayed four days and it was just superb in every way.

Absolutely perfect. The place looks much better than in the pictures. Quiet, clean and friendly staff. Keep in mind that you are in the countryside and it is very possible to have uninvited guests - a few centipedes appeared at our place. Nevertheless, I recommend it.

Ballium Luxury Relais is a true oasis of charm in Avola. From the moment you step inside, you feel an atmosphere of refined elegance and absolute tranquility: modern spaces tastefully decorated, bright and comfortable rooms, all furnished with great attention to design and detail. Cleanliness is impeccable, delicate scents fill the entire property, and every comfort is carefully thought out to make guests feel pampered: soft sheets, high-quality bathrobes, beautifully maintained common areas. The pool, quiet and private, was the perfect place to relax and recharge after our excursions. The staff is kind, professional, and always attentive, making us feel truly welcome throughout our stay. Ballium Luxury Relais exceeded our expectations — a perfect blend of style, comfort, and hospitality that we will remember with great pleasure.
