The fine print
Guests enjoy 1GB of free WiFi. Car Park is limited and advance reservation is requested. Alternate parking options are available in nearby buildings. You must show a valid photo ID upon check-in. There is a 3.15% surcharge when you pay online with a credit or debit card. At the time of check-in, Ascotia Off Queen requires a refundable security bond of NZD 250 credit card pre authorisation or cash deposit to cover any incidental charges.Please Note: Non-refundable rate plans will continue to be charged the full accommodation cost within 24-hours of booking being made as per standard policy. No changes or modifications will be accepted on these rate plans.Cancellations or modifications on Flexible Rate plans must be received by 24 hours prior to check-in time in order to avoid any administration/service charges. Cancellations or modifications received after this time will incur an administration/service charge equivalent to one night’s accommodation cost per room booked.Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

This place has some really negative reviews on all sites you can review on which I don’t think is completely fair, everytime I’ve gone (3times) the beds have been clean, comfy and warm, everything has worked and I’ve stayed in three different rooms every time based on how many people I’m with ect, they have free wifi that is really solid, the food isn’t the most amazing food (only eaten breakfast) but the fact that they offer it I think is really cool! The staff are lovely, it’s not the most modern or gorgeous place I’ve stayed in but it’s not priced like it would be! The location is great and the value for money is amazing in my opinion

I’ve had the chance to stay here twice. The room was clean and comfortable, and the amenities were good. The location is convenient as well. If possible, adding a microwave in the room would be a great improvement.
