The hotel was tastefully decorated with lots of open space especially in the foyer. The staff were extremely helpful throughout.

We enjoyed the happy hour, which we thought was generous, both for the daily 2 drinks per person vouchers and also the free snacks which was a nice touch. The bar staff were friendly and helpful and the atmosphere convivial. Hotel location was good and downtown walkable, but a just tad more distant than the truly downtown hotels. The hotel was spotlessly clean, with nice bedding, comfortable furniture, and attractive decor. Staff were friendly and helpful. They kindly provided a crib for the one-year old. Overall breakfasts were pretty disappointing however, with the notable exception of the fabulous 5-star omelette counter. Michael was particularly helpful and after the first day, he prepped for our arrival each morning with a clean pan and utensil to cater to our meat-free preference and there was a surprisingly wide selection of veggie ingredients for the omelettes given the general dearth. However the coffee was undrinkable, and other breakfast options were very limited for us. Nothing fishy, no cheese of any sort (other than Philadelphia) and no vegetables, neither raw nor cooked (other than fried potatoes lumps). The bagels were acceptable but most of the other baked goods looked unappealing and many overladen with sugar. There was no natural yogurt, only sweetened/flavoured varieties although there was a little cut fruit (melon/water melon/pineapple) which was welcome. After the first day we enjoyed breakfast much more by significantly supplementing with our own items (incl coffee), but we shouldn't have had to do that given the price of the breakfast and the general standard of the hotel. Light dimmers in the rooms would have made it more pleasant as the lights were quite harsh at night. Only the bathroom had a night light.
