The guys that run Meleji are wonderful human beings with generous projects that help the community & incredible cooks! Super serene place outside of the hustle of Arusha town.

Great place to stay in a local community! Everything is still very authentic. The rooms and the whole area are clean, and in the evening there’s even a bonfire. The host and all the staff are very friendly and always helpful. You can book different tours, take a walk through the village, visit a kindergarten, or join a city tour. Meals are cooked at the bar, and you can even watch while they cook. A wonderful place to relax and to learn Suaheli 😀

The 2 brothers in charge are just fantastic! Super friendly and chatty, they'll prepare your breakfast/dinner whatever time you need it and it was delicious. The room and bathroom was very basic but we loved how authentic it was, we slept very well too. I would definitely come back again, it was great!!!

The staff is amazing. Friendly and they do the extra effort for you. The location is also splendid. You get the real village wibe away from the tourist explosion
