While we did not need a 4 bedroom house, it was so lovely o have the space and full kitchen facilities. The bonus was the slow combustion fire in the house. makes it so cosy

Although we did not need 4 bedrooms, as my husband snores, having the use of 2 bedrooms was fabulous for respite on our 3 week South Island trip. The many heaters meant we did not have to use the coal/ wood fire which we used with ease on the first night but I was concerned about creating particulate pollution so we resorted to the excellent oil column heaters which heated up the place well. It is quiet despite being near the railway tracks and the washing was useful for our post tramping laundry which was easily dried on the line so although there is no dryer, none was needed. I appreciated the excellent communication from the proprietors. Their clear instructions made the trip seamless and stressfree.

Beautiful located and lovely house. We enjoyed the games supplied at night. Host communicated well and was excellent.
