1) The hosts are absolutely lovely and genuinely helpful. 2) The bed was good quality and very comfortable. 3) The setting is beautiful. 4) Eggs and figs from the farm in the mornings was a lovely surprise. If you want a glimpse of life in traditional Portugal in a beautiful family home, with deep quiet, lots of birdsong and wonderful views, this is a great choice. For people coming to Portugal on holiday, this will give you a much better immersion experience than a hotel would. And the location between Arraiolos and Pavia, close to Evora but not too close, is also great for people wanting to experience the real Portugal, and people who appreciate remoteness and tranquility.
