Our flight was delayed by 2hrs but the host stayed in touch and good communication was maintained. Mario (the host) welcomed us and showed around so we familiarise ourselves which was very helpful. Property is literally around the corner from Lidl shop and only 5mins walk from the beach (10mins for us as we had our 2.5yrs old doing his walk). Mario was also very helpful when we had questions about the local life as he was willing to share the best places to visit or to eat and so on. Overall, property had everything we need and the host was always there to help if we needed. Excellent experience!!!

We are travelling through Europe for 6 weeks on our Goldwing motorcycle and, as we love the area of Armacao de Pera, we decided to stay there for 2 weeks before travelling on. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which we needed as it was quite hot while we were there. There is a washer and we got our use out of it. The apartment is nicely furnished and quite modern. Super shower and bathroom. There are 2 balconies, and this comes in handy for washing and drying clothes. However, it's not ideal for sitting out and relaxing as it's in a heavily populated area, with Lidl at the back and other apartments/people hanging out, outside the apartment at the front. The location is convenient in many ways, near to and overlooking Lidl and near to the beach. Everything is close by. The area is not great, however, and it's a shame because there's an unfinished swimming pool and construction area at the back of the apartment, which tends to spoil it. Maybe it was never finished because Lidl bought the land, I don't know. The main road is close by and is quite noisy. However, with the shutters closed it's not bad at all, and I'm a light sleeper. All in all, we enjoyed our stay in Armacao de Pera, but we would not book this apartment again.
