The location was excellent. Would recommend a sea view room, ours was lovely and spacious with a sitting area overlooking the estuary. The bed was very comfortable with 'crispy' sheets and soft pillows, towels were extra thick and fluffy. We ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel, both were excellent- fish and chips definitely recommended! We would certainly return!

Only stayed one night and wish it could have been longer! Friendly welcome with plenty of information about the area. Rooms super comfortable and well stocked with tea, coffee etc. Our bedroom was in the main building at the front with wonderful views of the quay. Slight noise from the tables at the front of the pub but nothing too bad. We didn’t eat at the Seagate but the menu looked super and varied - something for everyone’s taste. Would certainly stay here again if we returned to Appledore.

Good choice for breakfast. Room spotless and bed very comfortable but being on the ground floor with the upper window fixed to an open position, it was very noisy with people leaving the establishments and getting in to vehicles all evening and into the early hours. Dinner menu disappointing in that whilst there was a good choice in print, the reality was a lot of the items were not available. The menu should be revised to reflect this as it made for a poor selection.
