Appenzell is a lovely traditional Swiss town and the Adler Hotel is a perfect base from which to explore the area. It is an easy 10 minute walk from the station. Staff were friendly and helpful, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Cute traditional guesthouse with lift; good size family room (double bed + comfortable sofa bed); parking right outside the hotel; decent breakfast spread with local products; super well located, just round the corner from the town’s Main Street. Very helpful and nice staff that gave us an explanation of where to walk and even restaurant recommendations (that was good!).

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Adler hotel. The best thing about it is that the care taken by the family running the hotel. Their recommendations were excellent. We enjoyed the Cheese fondue made especially for us on request in their fondue cellar and loved the experience. The facilities were very clean and nice. The icing on the cake the care and warmth offered by the family. Thank you very much.
