We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Adler hotel. The best thing about it is that the care taken by the family running the hotel. Their recommendations were excellent. We enjoyed the Cheese fondue made especially for us on request in their fondue cellar and loved the experience. The facilities were very clean and nice. The icing on the cake the care and warmth offered by the family. Thank you very much.

This is a lovely charming, historical hotel, with modernized facilities. It is conveniently located close to the train station and the old town. Our room was a good size, with a fan and a balcony looking over the quiet area behind the hotel. We were welcomed warmly and provided with great information on hiking and exploring the old town. There are some hiking poles at reception to borrow, which were appreciated on some of our hikes. The hotel ensured we received our Appenzell Tourist Card (3 night stay required) ahead of arrival, which was very useful for treats and transportation in the area.
