Whenever I mentioned ‘Apollo Bay’ everyone said to stay at this hostel because it’s ‘Amazing’. Normally ‘hostel’ and ‘Amazing’ don’t go together but this was a really wonderful treat. The guys on check in and check out were beautiful and super helpful. There was a group booking who stayed in the rooms surrounding mine but I didn’t hear anything. I was surprised there were only 2 showers and 2 toilets for 14 (or so) rooms downstairs but there was never a queue or delayed using the facilities. I didn’t use the kitchen but had a look and it was super clean, common areas also! Parking was great because if you couldn’t get on the site, they had on road parking. I just loved it here, for a lone female traveler it’s a 10/10.

Everything you’d expect from a well run YHA! Great location, lots of common space and good kitchen area. Bathrooms were clean and well equipped (surprised to have a hairdryer!). Staff were friendly and generally a good stay.

It’s really spacious and the 2 kitchens is a nice touch. It doesn’t feel cramped at all! It’s got a family friendly vibe and definitely not a party hostel, so it’s very chill. The roof terrace is amazing too.

Beds were comfortable and linen was clean. Kitchen was satisfactorily equipped. Great games room with pool table and board games and TV room was well stocked with DVDs. Location was fantastic, within a short walk to the beach and shops (about 150m). Beautiful sun deck on top to enjoy meals or drinks etc

Lovely setting, general room areas very nice spaces, lots of room. Great to have a rooftop to sit on too. I didnt use the kitchen however it looked spacious (two of them!) and able to park efficiently outside.

The view was amazing on the balcony area and the arcades and stores and beaches were about 3-4 minute walkes and the beaches were good for swimming for kids and safe.
