Breakfast and dinner were both exceptional. The Onsen was very good and we were lucky to go out with the very kind , experienced and efficient guides. The staff in reception and the breakfast and dinner areas were all wonderful.

Very quiet place found in the mountains. Ideal for people who want to spend a quiet and peaceful time, away from the crowds

We had the most fantastic three days at the hotel. We stayed 3 days in a mini suite. The public bath was spectacular and we enjoyed the outdoor bath in the snow. Dinner was lovely. Every evening we had a different collection of 9 courses. The wine list was very good. The Breakfasts were excellent. They vairied between a buffet when the hotel was busy and traditional breakfast when it as quiet. It snowed the three days were stayed which was lovely.

The food was excellently prepared but you had better like traditional Japanese food as there is no alternative for dinner and some days for breakfast. The first morning I was served a box of cold vegetables, meat and seafood for breakfast the second we had a western style buffet.
