A very homely environment. The children play and interact with you. The wi fi is good. Hot showers most of the time, clean spacious rooms. It’s 8 km out of the centre but very peaceful. Use the Pick Me App to arrange for tuk tuks to transport you to local historic sites and restaurants. The hosts make you meals upon request and provide tea, coffee and fresh drinking water. Managed to get some laundry done whilst there. Only negative thing was I didn’t receive my change when I paid! I was disappointed by this as I had bought their children sweets and even the host a local newspaper. Nevertheless, overall a pleasant stay.

Our stay at Forest View Home Stay was absolutely perfect and one of the highlights of our trip to Sri Lanka. The room was spotless, the large bed was incredibly comfortable, there were no mosquitoes because of the large mosquito net, and the peaceful forest location offered a sense of tranquility we rarely find. What made Forest View Home Stay truly special was the host and their lovely family. They were so warm and welcoming, always going out of their way to help us. From arranging transportation to lending us sarongs for a temple visit, their thoughtfulness was unmatched. The home-cooked meals were authentic and delicious, making every dinner feel like a celebration. If you’re looking for a quiet, beautiful retreat surrounded by nature and hosted by some of the kindest people you’ll ever meet, this is the place. We wish we could have stayed longer and hope to return in the future!

Excellent breakfast and dinner, very clean room and bathroom. The host family very kind, helpful and all at very reasonable price. A TukTuk journey from town and a short distance out in a quiet street

My Girlfriend and I would recommend this hostel to everyone, who is looking for great, relaxed, and easy stay in Anuradhapura. The Couple who owns the place is super friendly and forthcoming. They will try to help you with an problem you might encounter. Also, the breakfast was really delicious at a reasonable price. We are happy to have chosen Forest View Home Stay. It truly feels like staying at Home :)

Hygiene & Cleanliness of the Room, Bathrooms and Bedding is no 1 Thing I Loved. Then the Room, House Architecture feels like you in your home. Not to forget the kitchen is the other thing. They had a common kitchen for all the 3 rooms they had in house. It was clean, maintained and managed with all the basic kitchen utensils(Plates, Glasses, Tea Cups & Saucers, Rice and Curry Bowl, Serving Spoons, Knifes), Coconut Scraper, Electric Kettle, Gas Burner & Empty Gas Cylinder & Including a Refrigerator. Air Conditioner is new and it works like a charm and cools the room well within a short time. Really comfy Basic Beddings as well. All. Family Members had a Warm Welcome and loved How they Socialise with the Guests. Even they offered all guests in the House in 2024 Sinhala & Tamil New Yearday a New Year Breakfast Table FOC. I stayed for 5 days during this April Holidays. They Genuinely cared about the Wellbeing & Safety of Guests from the day of arrival until they departed. I will visit again and will recommend to anyone. Finally Price Is 1000% Worth for All these things
