The room was more spacious than we expected and very clean, with a comfortable bed, and a sofa space. The shower has very good pressure and hot. The hotel were able to accommodate a check in at 4am which was really appreciated. There is a lovely cafe downstairs which does a good afforable breakfast. This is excellent value for money and I would stay again

I get carsick very easily, so the 10–20 hour Cotisse rides were really tough for me. But I was able to get plenty of rest and regain my energy at La Lanterne. I’m grateful to Eleine and the rest of the staff for that.

I am so grateful for Eliene at the reception. She helped me buy my Cotisse ticket and booked a taxi for me so I could safely get to the Cotisse transport in the dark early morning. She was always smiling and kindly answered all of my questions. The room was simple but tidy and clean. There is a traditional market nearby, where I bought tomatoes and ate local food. It is a great place for travelers to stay. The hotel is located on a hill, but it was no problem for me.

Eliene was incredibly kind and helpful throughout my stay. Thanks to her support, I was able to take the taxi-brousse to Morondava. The room was quiet and very comfortable, and the shower had plenty of hot water. There are a few small shops nearby where you can easily buy food and drinks, and the town center is also within walking distance. I really appreciated the warm hospitality and would happily stay here again. I can truly recommend this place to anyone visiting Tana!
