The room is located at the start of Chora and only takes minutes to walk into the main centre, shops and restaurants so location is good. It has a separate bedroom and bathroom and an open plan living area / kitchen. It is located below the home of the owners mother, a lovely lady who makes jams and marmalades and kept us in good supply of cakes etc. The owner speaks very good English and is very helpful if you need anything. You access the room down a short flight of steps. It has its own gate making it a private space. The room we had faced the sea. The balcony faces East so catches the sun from morning to midday. The kitchen had all the items you may want but we ate out. What we liked most about Maltabe was a trio of cats that had decided to befriend us! They were the most friendly cats, slightly timid, possibly frightened but desperate for company and protection and of course like most Greek cats food! We spent three days here but the cats who greeted us first thing in the morning and last thing at night made it!! We sat on the balcony admiring the view, sipping wine with three lovely cats lying close-by purring contently. If you are cat friendly... stay here you will not be disappointed :-) we were sad to leave.

Cosy 1 bedroom flat with excellent view from its veranda looking at the nearby sea and green hills covered with olive trees and wildflowers. Clean appartment and very well equiped, including all necessary amenities and all other basic toiletries, cooking and cleaning supplies and even more: coffee,tea, juice, home made biscuits, cake,traditional greek sweet and local liquer, honey etc Very convenient location: within 5 minutes walk to the main pedestrian road where there is a big selection of local restaurants, greek sweet and local delicacy shops, museums, churches and view spots. The landlady was extremely kind, hospitable and helpful.

Lovely view of the sea. A couple of friendly cats. Decent size bedroom and living room / kitchen. Hot shower. Lovely treats provided by host like biscuits and sweet bread

The b ladies of the house were absolutely fantastic: friendly, welcoming, ready to help. And they make delicious marmelades!!!
