The fine print
Hostels are uniquely different from a hotel in that guests share dorm rooms for sleeping as well as common spaces.For the safety of our community, we are unable to host travelers who are feeling ill. Please notify staff if you are not feeling well; which includes a sore throat, cough, runny nose, or a fever.Please note that a major credit card is required upon arrival. A debit card does not qualify as a major credit card, and will not be accepted.The female-only and co-ed dormitories have 2 bunk beds in each room (4 beds total).The property does not assign particular beds to each guest, and cannot guarantee you will receive a bottom bunk. A top bunk would require you to be able to climb a ladder to the upper bed.If you are planning to arrive after 23:00, a late check-in can be arranged by using the Special Requests box when booking.The property will send information with late check-in instructions 1-2 prior to arrival.Due to the increasing demand, extra time and logistics, and limited supply of bottom bunk beds, (which may require asking a guest to switch beds during their stay), there is a $2 per day fee for bottom bunk requests. Please only request a bottom bunk if you are unable to climb or sleep in a top bunk for safety reasons.Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

Perfect place to use a Base Camp in Anchorage for your adventures in Alaska. Clean, quiet, everything you need is there. Also rental equipment as well if needed ( tents, backpacks, bear boxes or bags, bear spray, .. ).

I really enjoyed my 4-night-stay in Base Camp Hostel. It`s a small hostel, easy to reach by bus from Airport and Downtown, close to supermarket, restaurants, McDonald`s, Burger King, KFC, Bike Shop, bakery. Free coffee and selfmade breakfast in hostel. I rent a bike from hostel and had a very nice trip on Coastal Trail. There is a big Tippi-Tent in the backyard and we had a beautiful campfire with Marshmellow Sandwiches. I was in a 4-bed-dorm on upper bunk bed. Special thanks to Ole, Dawson, Chris and Dyan the nice and helpful staff.

The place is pretty close to the airport. You can take the bus and be there at about 20'-25'! The guys are super helpful and the overall stay is very nice! The beds are cosy and the blinding curtains really usefull (bear in mind that at the time I visited the sun did set at about 23:30!). The atmosphere in the whole hostel is warm and everyone makes you feel right at home!

The place is so cozy, clean, and comfortable just like a little home away from home.The owner is incredibly kind and helpful, which made my time before going to Denali even more special. I’m really grateful for your hospitality
