The hotel is in a good location. The hotel and facilities were as expected for the price, reminded me of my old student digs days! It was quite clear in the hotel's description that the toilet facilities were shared and there were steep stairs, so I was prepared for both, unlike some reveiwers! My room was very very small, however no problem for me as I had only a backpack and it was only a stopover stay. The room and bed linen were clean. If you are looking for a central, cheap accommodation, do not mind sharing facilities and tackling steep narrow stairs, and you are travelling light, I would recommend this hotel.

Galerij Hotel is amazing,friendly, warm welcome from the staff working there (Mo, Yusuf and one more gentleman I met);they will definitely answer you any question You may have. It is a place for people who like to travel and explore, it has everything needed for this. If You want to stay all day long inside, and not to explore, maybe the place is not the best for you. But if you want a place very close to Anna Frank's house, supermarket, shops, Amsterdam Royal Palace, Nieuwe Kerk, then definitely you will chose Galery Hotel.
