We wanted a place to relax and the end of our 3 week Greece trip, we spent 5 days here and it was perfect, there was a good selection at the buffet and the beach was nice.

Just come back from a stay at the Neptuno Beach Hotel. It's a really lovely place. We were upgraded upon check in and encouraged to go for lunch as the buffet would shut shortly. Really nice buffet even though it was later in the afternoon. Room was basic but extremely clean. It was modern and had everything you could need. Room had a fridge and a hairdryer plus a kettle for convenience. Balcony was lovely. Again, all spotless - I've never seen a room so clean! Pool area and beach lovely. Extremely clean, well staffed and quiet at this time of year (May). I would imagine it's very busy in the summer and school holidays Meals at dinner and breakfast were good. Nice variety. Staff cleared plates and cleaned very quickly. I've never seen harder working staff. Entertainment fine - not really our thing but the traditional cretan dancing on the one evening was lovely. This hotel is great for a slow pace. It's not a party hotel. Staff can't do enough for you. 100m from a beautiful beach and a 10 min bus ride or 1 hour walk to the centre of heraklion. The walk is tough in the heat - take plenty of water.
