Hotel Overview

Charming residence in the heart of the Loire Valley Castles, “Relais d'Amboise - The Leading Hotels of the World” is located in an exceptional setting with its view of the Royal “Château d'Amboise” overlooking the river. The rooms are also equipped with air conditioning and satellite TV.
After several months of embellishment work, this listed 18th century building was completely renovated in 2026 to offer you a new luxury experience in a preserved yet redesigned setting, combining services and comfort with 21st-century technology. Most of the rooms have a bathroom with a shower, and all bathrooms include a hairdryer and bathrobes. Free WiFi access is available throughout the property.
Built on the foundations of the former medieval monastery of the Minimes Monks, this hotel establishment now features a total of 63 rooms, including 22 suites, distributed across a vast estate comprising several buildings.
The 63 rooms and suites at the Relais d’Amboise are spread across a vast estate comprising several buildings. Each room tells its own story and has a unique atmosphere, depending on whether it is located in the Maison du Duc, the Manoir des Minimes, the Pavillon de l’Horloge, the Pavillon Louise, the Maison de l’Apothicaire, the Demeure François 1er or the Pavillon Charles VIII. Through subtle touches, works of art, objects and books create a distinctive world, revealing secrets from the past.
The refined and timeless aesthetic appeals to the five senses and is complemented by incomparable elegance, with the lustre of bronze and glass, the nobility of marble, the play of Italian-style trompe l’œil, the feel of velvet, and the unique views of the castle towers, the park or the river.
Pets are welcome at the Relais d’Amboise.
Parking is available at 20€ per night.

Hotel is in a fantastic location on the river and not far from the city center, everything is easily in walking distance. The room was lovely, particularly the bathroom. There was a good range of excellent food at breakfast.
