The hayloft was a really cosy and warm home for home on a wet weekend. The bookshelf was to die for and plenty of crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment. Comfy beds, great heaters and really clean throughout. The location is good-we didn't want to stay somewhere busy like Ambleside, but just a stones throw away for convenience, and that's exactly what this provided. . Despite the wet weather for most of our stay, we managed a Tarn Hows and a Grasmere/Rydal loop, as well as a few craft trips out.

We had a great three night stay. The kitchen is well equipped, the bathroom is fairly modern, the beds were very comfortable and warm and it was quiet.

Excellently equipped property with great views of Wansfell Pike from the main living area. It was very comfortable & a very short walk from one of the main public footpaths that lead onto Loughrigg Fell.
