This cottage is great! right in the heart of Ambleside, easy to park on the street in the evenings even in August. It suited us perfectly. 4 friends on a walking holiday. The cottage had all the facilities you could want especially in the kitchen so is perfect for doing pack lunches and cooking in the morning and evening if you want to. Jane the host leaves a fabulous welcome pack milk, crisps, chocolate and orange juice which is a lovely touch and she is on hand if you have any questions. There was fresh flowers as well which we loved. There are 4 single beds here and 2 living rooms so plenty of space. In the one bedroom you are overlooked by the kitchen in the opposite restaurant to remember to close the curtains when changing haha The bathroom is a good size with a great shower and there was some toiletries provided. Checking in and out was easy with a key box. Even though you are in the centre of Ambleside it wasn't noisy in the night. But to note that because of the couple of restaurants right by it there is a constant smell of food most of the day. This would not matter if you are out a lot, and you do not notice it after you have been there a day or so.

Location was great, but quiet so great night sleep. Well equipped, everything you need. Loved welcome pack and fresh flowers, really thoughtful. Communication with owner was good. Location good for walks and buses.

The location was very close to the town, was incredibly well equipped with a fully equipped kitchen and it was immaculately clean. the beds were very comfy with good quality bedding and bed linen and the shower was very good. the hosts very kindly left tea, coffee, milk, orange juice, biscuits, crisps, croissants for us, which was very much appreciated. There were also dish washer tablets, washing up liquid, salt, pepper, oil etc which was fantastic, and rarely supplied with AirBnbs.
