The accommodation was in a huge residential area so it was very busy at the front of the property but as soon as you exited the property at the back you were in a gorgeous, landscaped garden with a lovely swimming pool. It was all grassed and very green and peaceful with lots of birds. A lot of the apartments were empty as it was June so it was never busy which was wonderful. It was very much a holiday area for Portuguese families which was nice. You do need a car or would need to get a bus as it is a 45 minute walk to a beach. The nearest town is a 15 minute drive away. There are big supermarkets about a ten minute drive away too. Joanna, our host was great. She sent us clear instructions on how to get to the property and when we realised we had equipment missing in the kitchen she quickly brought us replacements.
