I arrived late after travel problems and a hectic week. The staff were extremely helpful. Sadly, the kitchen closed but staff were absolutely charming, advised where to get a takeaway. Although the hotel was 200 years old and no recent major renovation, the place shone. Bed appeared new and very comfortable. Sadly just one night.

The staff were wonderfully helpful. There was a good atmosphere. The staff were friendly and kind. It was reasonably priced compared with other hotels in the area. The room was smart and comfortable with attention to detail.
