We stayed at Maxy's, which is a house right on the waterfront with a fantastic view. There were a lot of swans and these other funny looking birds that didn't fly, which we started to call a chook duck because it had a body like a chicken and a small duck bill. It had a comfortable bed and lounge and a serviceable kitchen that could have used a pot or 2 more and a few more utensils. It also had a lovely fireplace, which helped with the cold. Also, the bathroom floor was heated. Keep a lookout for the white wallaby while you are driving around. We found 4. Another quirky about Bruny, you buy your bread at the Bread Fridge, which is sourdough for $8. We had the fruit sourdough for $10 which we really enjoyed toasted with marmalade.

The lovely house enjoys a highly desirable position right by the sea, providing clear ocean views when the windows are opened, which contributes to a charming atmosphere. The presence of wallabies in the morning and evening is a delightful feature. Unfortunately, due to the cloudy conditions, the sunrise and southern light were not visible.

Absolutely loved waking up to the view and the tv had Netflix etc and the bathroom was very nice

Snazzy accomodation. Very contemporary, cosy and warm. Serene outlook, lovely deck. Great food at the Hotel.
