This is a lovely holiday cottage. It was spacious, comfortable, decorated & furnished to a high standard in an excellent location. A great base for a fantasholiday in a splendid location.

The cottage is in a small row set back behind the main road. The house is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Although terraced, the stone walls are thick, and we didn't hear any noise from the neighbours, or passing traffic. The village shop is nearby. The location of the cottage was a mile from Alnmouth and close to Alnwick. There are lots of long sandy beaches within easy reach and castles and stately homes. The train station is a five-minute drive away. The cottage is much larger on the inside than the pictures can show. There is a useful porch inside the entrance, with coat hooks and a shoe rack. The kitchen is modern and very well equipped with a full cooker, washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, clothes airer etc. The two bedrooms are of a good size and include wooden slatted shutters to the windows. The beds were comfortable and had quality linen on them. The bathroom is a good size and has a deep bath with a shower over it. There is a small enclosed patio at the back which was useful for the dog to explore.
