Its cozy oldschool fashioned hotel in the heart of Almaty. Yes, a little bit tired, but location, architecture, historical meaning of the building - all make it one of the best Almaty Golden Square options.

Great location in a central part of town. Lovely old ex-Soviet hotel externally. Very good price for the respective location. Large room with a comfy bed and a decent bathroom. Friendly staff, decent breakfast. Good, strong WiFi.
