The hostess was very friendly, welcoming and helpful! The place is very cozy and well decorated. Fun theme. Location is awesome. Wolf and Bear (the cats) were very sweet and affectionate. The breakfast is a feast! I think Wolf noticed us having trouble finishing it all so he tried to get some bites in... All in all a very lovely place I'd wholeheartedly recommend.

The SOEPP hotel is located in the heart of Alkmaar, a brisk 20 minute walk from Alkmaar train station. The room is actually a mini apartment, situated on the first floor, adjacent to the restaurant. Access is via a set of very narrow wooden stairs, which would be an issue for someone who has mobility problems. The room was wonderful, with a host of amenities including a kitchen, lounge and a spacious bedroom. This is the second time that I have stayed at this accommodation and I will definitely be going back next year, if work permits.

An amazing and unique place to stay with huge amounts of character. With a lovely courtyard and entry thru a beautiful lane. Amazingly close to bars and main square - awesome location. Lovely staff. And had a fantastic breakfast. Would recommend for something that isn't just a plain hotel.

Great place, enough space, not so suitable for handicapped people, you have to use stairs, but it wasn't our issue
