We are seasoned travellers, who know the difference between average and exceptional. This ticked all the boxes. The owner/operator was outgoing and helpful, providing suggestions for sightseeing, dining and a detailed explanation of the history of his historical house and his olive oil business. Being so close to Gallipoli, Alesio is easily accessible by car. Parking is available on site. But to try to explain the accommodation would not give it justice. It is wow! An old olive oil producing building turned into a b&b, with all of the antiques scattered around. The owner is proud (and I understand why) of how he kept all the original floors doors and furniture. The breakfast is outstanding with fresh pastries and fruit. So don’t miss out on this exceptional accommodation.

Lovely boutique hotel with a delicious breakfast served outside by the pool. Salvatore is an excellent host who provided lots of great suggestions on where to visit and eat.
