Nice enough simple room on the edge of the pool area overlooking the river. Beds were comfortable and everything worked. A little more space would have been nice but all was fine. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking is free and plentiful.

Whilst slightly dated it was quite a pleasant place to stay in a location a bit off the normal tourist routes. We only had one night here - passing through and main reason was to do the zip-lining from "Spain to Portugal" which was fun. We did use the pool which was a welcome bonus but could have done with some bug removal in the morning. The breakfast was just average but for the price not unreasonable.

Quite austere and basic looking hotel but situated beautifully overlooking the river between Portugal and Spain and actually very good value for money. Bar served delicious lunches and you could get a drink/ coffee there at any time of day. Pool area looked nice although it was not the right weather for us to relax there! Short walk to town and river. Parking

The breakfast was continental but well supplied with good quality fresh food. Available snacks where very good and the salads available were delicious Every member of staff that we met were pleasure to meet and extremely helpful.

Small room with direct access to the attractive pool area and a view of river beyond. Breakfast offered a variety of tasty food. Alcoutim is a special part of the world with deep history so it’s a pleasure to be here.

The hotel is in a lovely location with fabulous views of the river and Sanlucar opposite from the dining room and gardens. As others have commented, the hotel staff are really friendly and spoke good English. When we asked if it would be possible to have an electric kettle for our room (we love tea), one was brought to us immediately.
