Hotel Overview

A 30-minute drive from Birmingham International and Coventry airports, The Throckmorton is set in the tranquil Warwickshire countryside. It offers free WiFi and a traditional restaurant and bar.
The Throckmorton is a former coaching inn, and still retains its original features and charm. It offers both traditional and contemporary rooms, all with a TV, private bathroom and free tea and coffee. All bedroom were refurbished in April 2016.
Placed in Alcester, the hotel is within a 30-minute drive of the lively centres of Worcester and Birmingham.
The Throckmorton is surrounded by picturesque footpaths, which you can reach by crossing the river from the hotel grounds. Coughton Court, the National Trust property, is 5 minutes’ walk away.
The bar serves a range of wines, beers and spirits from around the world, and there is a selection of real local ales to choose from. Breakfast is served every morning, with a cooked breakfast and Continental options available.

This family room features a 40-inch Freeview flat-screen TV and tea/coffee making facilities. This features a super king-size bed and two single beds. The private bathroom offers a bath with shower. Please inform the property if you wish to have a different bed configuration.

Superior Twin Room - enter dates to see room photos

All twin rooms offer an en-suite shower room, desk, tea/coffee making facilities, 32-inch Freeview Smart TV. A child under 12 years old can be accommodated on a sofa bed at additional charge, please select triple occupancy when booking. Breakfast is included.

Everything. The room was perfect. The bed was huge and extremely comfy. So peaceful. We overlooked fields with animals. The evening meal was amazing. Ragu and fish and chips. And the breakfast was sublime. Will definitely visit again

The check-in was perfect for a late night arrival after settling my Mother into a hospital and having no control over the time. The room was very clean and also cool, thanks to a standing fan. The bed was really comfortable and with cool cotton sheets. Breakfast was really nice... I had yoghurt with alpen and fruit, and then a small lighter hot plate breakfast. The sausage and scrambled was particularly delicious. Service was very friendly. No hesitation recommending this hotel.

Lovely room very clean and everything we needed ie: ironing board, hair dryer, comfy bed and very attentive staff.
