Familie “One of the nicest Paradores that I've been”

Paradores are the hidden gems for tourism in Spain. I cannot believe that they are still so unknown out of my country. The hotel room is enclosed in prime historical locations like castles and villas. Service is first class and you get a fantastic breakfast and restaurant service with local products. Out of season the prices are also a bargain. Alarcón is a nice medieval village with a lot of walking trails around.

We stayed a night at the Parador on our roadie from Seville to Valencia. The castle was much easier to access than we expected, even though this small town was very rural. The Parador is very well maintained, with pleasant service, comfortable rooms and good amenities. There are only a few rooms so our dinner/breakfast in the dining room was very private which added to the peaceful stay. We even accessed the roof by key, which was a really cool experience looking over the expansive land from above. Breakfast was a great variety and standard.
