Please note that the camp can only be reached by 4x4. Guests may book a transfer from Al Wasil to the camp at an additional point.Guests are required to show a photo ID and valid Oman visa upon check-in. The peace and quiet at night, the starry sky and the hospitality. Just being there in the desert having steadily approached it over 3 days travelling from Muscat was an unforgettable experience. Homeid, our host was welcoming and with good English, so communication was easy.

This camp is in a beautiful location well into the desert. Unlike many of the other camps the comfortable huts fit in with the environment - built of wood and palm leaves and using traditional textiles. Solar power provides enough basic light but otherwise you can experience the magic of the desert night sky. The communal area for eating etc is also very attractive and the food was delicious. The staff were fantastic and all the guests clearly enjoyed the various activities offered - sunset walks, camel rides, trips through the desert by jeep, We learned a lot about the life of the Bedu . I cannot imagine why anyone would want to stay at other camps with facilities like swimming pools and electric light glaring at night. If you want to experience the desert properly then definitely try to book this camp - it was the first to be established and I’m sure it’s the best

The hosts are very friendly, kind and make you feel welcome. They go the extra mile for an immersive desert experience. It is traditional and clean. Couldn't hope for more. We will be back for sure
