The good things is you definitely get a great desert experience. Instead of some concrete box in a dry riverbed you are camping in a tent amongst the dunes. Some concessions have been made so there is a basic bathroom(washbasin/toilet/shower) at every tent.

The camp is great. Everything is very clean and comfortable but maintaining the authenticity of a bedouin camp. The tent and the private bathrooms are very functional and the bed is comfortable. It's a perfect introduction to the desert for desert beginners as my partner was. Everybody is very kind and friendly. The camp manager, Badr, is super kind and he was helpful in all the situations. As the weather starts to be hot in April, he advised us to visit Wadi Bani Khalid during the day, which is less than 1 hour away from the camp and it is really beautiful and refreshing. We arrived with our car until the end of the road and we asked for a lift to reach the camp, which was 10 OMR. It's a 10 minutes ride, but I really advise you to benefit from it if you are not used to drive on the sand and if you don't have a big 4x4. We rented a Renault Duster 4x4 but we thought it wasn't enough to reach the camp. The food is abundant and super good. My partner is coeliac (gluten intolerant), we asked them if options without bread and wheat flour were available and they prepared good rice, grillet meat, hummus and salad. The camp is located in the middle of beautiful dunes, far away from other camps, so there is little light pollution.

Badur took great care! Nothing was missing. I reccommend to stay two nights here and really get a feeling for the desert. You can always flee from the hot mid day into the cool Wadi. The evenings were very special, having a camp fire and see shooting stars was magical.

Very nice desert camp in the middle of the dunes. The hosts are very nice and helpful. In the evening we sat around the campfire and enjoyed the excellent tea. It was a great desert experience!
