The traditional House in Akoumia provides you a cozy atmosphere with a beatiful balcony view into the mountains. Jannis, the owner, is a rather sympatic, always friendly and helpful person. If you want relaxing days, I would recommend this nice place on earth.

The less touristy village and its welcoming inhabitants were my most pleasant surprise during my stay. The house is decorated with care and detail to make the traditional Cretan experience unique. The house is spacious, and its balcony offers a breathtaking view of the mountain with stunning colors. The host is very responsive and helpful, with a good level of English.

Wonderful atmosphere and style inside the house. It certainly lives up to its name. Perfect rooftop terrace with hammock, with beautiful mountain view across the valley. The bedrooms on the lower floor stay cool even on hot days. Authentic traditional bakery just at the entrance to the village. Overall, a fabulous find and excellent place for a relaxing stay!
