The fine print
Based on local tax laws, guests with a tourist visa to Israel are exempted from paying VAT for their reservation. Israeli citizens and residents ("non tourists" as defined in the VAT law) must pay VAT. This tax is automatically calculated in the total cost of the reservation for domestic customers. For guests booking from outside of Israel, the tax is not included in the total price.A surcharge of ILS 250 applies for arrivals after 22:00. I had a wonderful stay at Akotika. The hotel itself has a unique charm, blending history with comfort, but what truly stood out was the service. Every member of the staff was attentive, friendly, and went out of their way to make me feel welcome. The breakfast was also excellent, especially the fresh pastries, which were a real highlight. I would happily return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Acre.
