Location was perfect - only a short drive from Akaroa township but so secluded and peaceful. There is no noise but birdsong, trees moving and the ocean. From the house & deck you cannot see or hear anyone, so relaxing. Found the entrance easy to spot from the road. Property itself had everything required and was clean and comfortable. Hosts were lovely! The pictures are accurate but don't do it justice.

Our stay was absolutely amazing! We felt at home from the very first moment and couldn’t have asked for a better way to end our honeymoon. The place is peaceful, surrounded by stunning views, private beach, and offers complete privacy. The house is cozy and well equipped — the bed is super comfortable, the kitchen has everything you need, and all the facilities are excellent. Highly recommended! ❤️

Mumfords was in a peaceful environment surrounded by mountains overlooking the water. The sunsets and sunrises were spectacular as were the birds singing in the trees. A telescope in the house allowed us to see the birds up close. It had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. Nicky and Fran met us on arrival (communication prior to and during our stay was excellent) and the extras of home made chocolates, jam and tomato sauce added to our feeling very welcomed by Nicky and Fran. The Woodfire was also perfect! Our biggest regret was not being able to stay longer.
