Gorgeous property near the lovely town of Akaroa. Jane is most welcoming as a host and provides a magnificent breakfast. We stayed twice on our trip, in different rooms, both of which were fabulous with views out across the immaculate gardens to the bay. It almost felt like coming home when we returned here at the end of our tour of NZ. I would recommend this an alternative to staying in Christchurch.

We stayed in a converted building set in beautiful gardens with some free range chickens roaming around. It was quite cool but provided with a good quality fan heater. The room was nice and clean and the bed was very comfortable. We didn’t use any cooking facilities, but there was a ring, toaster and microwave available as well as kettle and Nespresso machine. Breakfast up at the main house was delicious with a lovely view of the bay. We had a fabulous (though expensive) lunch at the Caldera wine estate with amazing views.
