Located in the trees, birdsong was incredible. Peaceful and relaxing and private.

The location was perfect, and the hut is beautiful, tucked away amongst the trees and the birdlife. The bath and the outdoor shower amongst the trees, are so relaxing. It is easy to walk into town and there are various hikes directly from the house. With a car the entire peninsula and all the beaches are a little drive away. The owners are so lovely and have created a perfect little getaway.

Location amongst forest and birds. Very tranquil. The shower is outdoors in the open which was lovely. Nice bath with candles.

Kanuka Retreat is a quirky and gorgeous cottage set amongst the trees. So peaceful and tranquil, a perfect place to simply relax and enjoy the birdsong. Close to Akaroa village.
