The front office staff are clearly the hotels greatest asset. Even the accountant who comes daily was amazingly friendly and well mannered, helping me change money all the time. My reservation was last minute due to a cancellation elsewhere. The front desk was good enough to accomodate me and my family, assisted me in a rush to a wedding and the next day when we needed to depart early for Colombo. Having booked via booking.com, most properties would take this opportunity to use this as a excuse to maneuver a cancellation fee or otherwise, but here was a team who prioritised simple but important guests requirements to ensure gusts get a positive experience. Hospitality at its best. After stayijg even at ITC and Hilton Colombo, they are a far cry from The Hotel. Ever so grateful. As, they serve a excellent breakfast
