Very spacious place, maybe a bit dated compared to other places, but we expected it as the photos were accurate and it was balanced by a very competitive price and availability - Adelboden seems to be a very popular destination. When we arrived, the keys were in our apartment's door, along with a sticker with my name on the main door and the apartment door for reassurance that we were at the right place - great idea! Great location to start your hikes. Just a short walk (up up up) to the city centre or public outdoor swimming pool - you can see its entrance from the chalet, as it's above the chalet on the hill. Well equipped kitchen. We loved the variety of the board games, appreciated especially when it was raining the whole day. Large covered area to dry your clothes. As regards Adelboden and surrounding hiking areas - we absolutely loved it. There are two cable car stations just a very short walk from the chalet. One takes you to the city centre (and back ;-)), and the other one is a very long cable car that takes you to the top of the mountain where you can rent a scooter and scoot back to Adelboden, or obviously walk/hike back via well market and very easy walking paths. Short walk to a spring water fountain/tap. Responsive owners: Upon arrival there were not towerls, but a quick message to the owners sorted it out, and they brought some a few minutes later.
