Service was outstanding: genuinely friendly, incredibly accommodating, and always happy to help. The room was even better than the photos online, which never happens. It was generously sized but still cosy and homely, with all the little details clearly thought through – and a cheeky sense of humour woven into the design and amenities that made it feel fun as well as comfortable. The free minibar snacks were a very welcome surprise, and the bed... honestly, BEST hotel bed I’ve ever slept in, and I’ve slept in thousands. We also loved the restaurant and bar downstairs. Great atmosphere, wide-ranging menu, and the portions were seriously massive. Prices were very reasonable for the quality and size of the meals, so it felt like proper value rather than the usual “hotel restaurant” mark-up. EXCELLENT overall value for money. The only thing that wasn’t absolutely perfect was the location – it’s not smack-bang in the middle of town – but it more than makes up for it in every other way. Plus, it’s right beside a bus line and only a short walk to the train, so getting into the city is easy. Can’t imagine anything better if you had a car. Looking forward to my next stay and recommend to anyone who doesn’t mind being a bit out of the centre in exchange for comfort, character, and genuinely outstanding service.

Like our previous visit it was a great stay. Excellent floor not too high for me. The restaurant food was delicious and garden area was nice to sit in and listen to the live music. Overall a lovely stay, also loved the Christmas decorations.
