The apartment was clean, comfortable and had lots of extras (nespresso machine, Dental kit, shower gels, vanity kit). The bar served a range of food and drinks and the host was so lovely, happy to talk about the local area, very knowledgeable and the pool area was fab

A lovely experience. The hotel is situated in a beautiful garden full of olive trees, everything is clean and the staff are all amazing. The food and drinks were delicious and profesionally prepared. I would like to praise the bartender Janis who made our stay so much fun :) We will be coming back to this place!

Location of Filokalia is excellent, as it is approximately halfway (not quite)along the southern bus route… so if you stay here you’re able to get to the main town and to the beaches at the far south western end of the island. It has a beautiful pool area with comfortable loungers and a bar area serving breakfast and light meals at very reasonable prices. The staff are really friendly and accommodating. The distance to the nearest beach (Achladies) is a 5-10 mins walk and there are 2 good mini markets only 5 mins walk away. Bus stop 10 is right by the mini markets and the eater taxi leaves from Achladies beach to Skiathos town and is €4 per person each way and a lovely way to travel. The air conditioning worked really well (essential in late July) and the wifi was great (much appreciated by my teenage son). The “bungalow room” we were in had a small fridge freezer that was great.
