The room was one of the best of our stay in Egypt. Tidy, clean, well equipped and spacious. A hairdryer was available as well. It's very well located in a quiet area, just 10-15 minutes walk from the temple. The owners were hospitable and welcoming. Ideal if you plan on staying one night to enjoy the temple of Abu Simbel late in the afternoon, as we did.

The host is the most helpful and nicest person that we have met during our trip. He gave us very good recommendations and helped us to arrange everything to have a perfect trip (the transportation from Aswan, the tickets for the light show, the food,…) I totally recommend this guesthouse for Abu Simbel.

The room gave us the flexibility to visit the temples of Abu Simbel after the visitors from Aswan had disappeared!! Excellent location: About 15 - 20mins walk to the temples. There were ATMs and a few shops close by too Comfortable and quiet room: A bit of a rarity in Egypt! Exceptionally friendly host! Ashraf was always on hand to assist, offer advice or just generally check in and make sure that we are okay! Ashraf also connected us with a private driver to handle the connection between Aswan and Abu Simbel.

The location is very good. Easy access to the temples and easy access for local cafés and restaurants. The host and his family looked after me giving me advice about the archaeological sites and the town.

The host Ashraf and his family made our stay very comfortable, made us feel like at home. The accommodation itself is very clean, probably one of the cleanest accommodations I have been to anywhere in the world. World class cleanliness. Ashraf and his family even offers breakfast/dinner if you would be interested, if not then they are happy to give suggestions on places to eat that might suit you better. They also have tickets to Abu Simbel temple for you to buy so you don’t need to buy online or onsite, just a minor detail but nice to have the option. Ashraf also helped us to check if the public bus was going to Aswan, unfortunately it did not so we had to take the minibus which he helped to try and bargain the price as you as a tourist will pay a tourist price depending on your bargaining skills. The accommodation is maybe 10 min of walk to the temple and 10 min to the center, so very good located if you want to explore Abu Simbel by foot.

Ashraf and his family were very welcoming and helpful and cooked us and friends of ours who were staying nearby a delicious fish meal in their home, despite not having a formal restaurant. He also accompanied us to Abu Simbel temples on foot early in the morning - just a 15 minute walk - to be there when it opened and to watch the sunrise.

We loved everything! Mr Ashraf our host treated us like family and helped us organise transport tickets to the sound and light and onward car to aswan. The room was spotless, the beds comfy and a lovely view to the water from our balcony. Highly recommend. Also very close to both temple and town easy walk.
